About Nikita
Nikita (they/she) is a facilitator, creative and activist committed to spotlighting the “other”. Nikita is a published writer, poet, editor, facilitator and workshop curator who advocates for an intersectional lens and approach to arts and activism. They are particularly interested in working at the intersections of creativity, identity, disability, race, gender and sexuality.
Currently Nikita is working as a Racial Justice Engagement Officer at Consortium LGBT+. For a number of years, they were a trustee and advocate for Cysters. Other notable collaborators include Arachne Press, The Open Minds Project, Dhaga Art UK, Juice Magazine, The Unmistakables on behalf of Spark & Co, Macmillan UK and Vision Redbridge Central Libraries. Nikita’s story of living with PCOS & Endometriosis was featured as part of The House of Commons Petition Committee, The Juicebox and Unhead Of Podcast. Their advocacy work has seen them featured on a number of panels including Birmingham Indian Film Festival and the British Academy and Wellcome Trust’s Reframing Endometriosis: Power, Politics and Potential Futures Conference.
