Hi!

My name is Nikita (they/them), and I’m a multidisciplinary artist: a published poet, writer, singer and space curator.

As an established creative facilitator, I bring learning and theory to life through art, poetry, and free writing. I’ve led ongoing closed spaces specifically for folks who have experienced racism, ableism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression.

I wear many hats, and I love to work collaboratively, having been on curatorial, editing, and broader creative teams. I can feel my artistry expanding with every year I’m alive. Recently, I’ve stepped into creative direction, and written the first draft of a short film that I’ll also be producing.

My journey has been shaped by lived experience storytelling and disability advocacy from a patient voice perspective – with active contributions to spaces like past APPGs. I believe in the necessity of an intersectional lens and approach in healthcare and beyond, with my work dedicated to spotlighting the “other”. I’m particularly interested in the power of creativity and how it intersects with identity and disability, but also how we can harness play, imagination, art and other creative mediums to create space for healing and to enact radical change.
